Erica Dawn Lyle is a writer, musician, artist, and curator who lives in New York City. One half of the art making collective, SOBBETH, she is the author of On The Lower Frequencies: A Secret History of The City (Soft Skull, 2008). Since 1991, she has edited and published the DIY art/crime/punk magazine, SCAM. Long involved in DIY publishing and grassroots activism, Lyle worked for many years as a street outreach worker at Coalition on Homelessness San Francisco while co-editing the infamous San Francisco Skid Row newspaper, The Turd-Filled Donut. Since 2017, Lyle has co-hosted Brooklyn’s Free Air Radio and helped run and coordinate programming at the experimental venue, 7 Belvidere in Bushwick. Lyle has recorded around 30 records with over 17 bands. In 2019 she joined Bikini Kill as their new guitar player.
