One half of the art making collective, SOBBETH, she is the author of On The Lower Frequencies: A Secret History of The City (Soft Skull, 2008). Since 1991, she has edited and published the DIY art/crime/punk magazine, SCAM. Lyle has recorded around 30 records with over 17 bands. In 2019 she joined Bikini Kill as their new guitar player.
